It was the busiest week of the season for Datchworth Bowls Club.
The men opened it with a 59-53 loss in the area final of the County Team Championship against Buntingford.
Dickie Jackson, Daniel Williams, Steve Chamberlain and Derek Henley won 21-17 and there was a 19-19 draw for Alfie Williams, Maurice Gordon, Steve Arnold and Les Parsley.
The third and final rink though went heavily in the favour of Buntingford, winning by 10 shots.
They then picked up a 53-19 success in the County League, beating Rosehill, but they then lost to the same team in the East Herts League.
Datchworth's women lost their County League match 24-9 at Bishop's Stortford.
In the Welwyn Hatfield League Jubilee Cup, they beat Welwyn Wanderers 34-31.
The home rink of Maureen Blunt, Howard Carrick, Jan Smith and Phil Berry proved crucial, winning 21-11 which was enough to counteract the loss away.
The league's John Brown Cup brought a 39-24 loss to BSP, losing home and away while in Division Two, the WHBL side lost to North Mymms.

Two more matches followed on Thursday night. Their East Herts Bowls League team were in action again, up against in the League’s Ranson Cup. Their Welwyn Hatfield Bowls League team were also in action again, up against North Mymms, in a home Div.2 League match.
Back in the EHBL, there was a 37-25 win in the Ranson Cup over Hertingfordbury, both rinks winning with the best of them Graham Akers, Rob Hazeu, Steve Chamberlain and Derek Henley.
In Division Two, the Golds beat Rye Park Rockets 49-30, their second win of the league season, a 10-shot and a nine-shot win on the two rinks.
In the North Herts Women’s Bowling Association’s Challenge Shield, Datchworth lost at Stevenage, winning one of the three disciplines.
That was in the triples, a 14-9 success for Jenny Holzbauer, Maureen Blunt and Janet Akers.
It was a mixed week for Shire Park Bowls Club (Tewin).
There were successes in the Welwyn Hatfield League match away to BSP.
Martin Taylor, Elaine Wulcko and skip Bill Draycott lost 21-14 but Linda Draycott, Steve Calladine and Gus Edwards secured a 33-16 victory, edging Shire Park to a 47-37 overall success.
There was also a win in the John Brown Trophy against Welwyn Garden City Knights, beating them 18-14 in Tewin and 21-10 away.
And in the Welwyn Hatfield triples Eileen Williams, David Williams and skip Gus Edwards defeated Parkside at home 21-15.
However, Mike Howe’s team lost away to Sele Farm in the East Herts fours and away to Hemel Hempstead in the St Albans District triples.
There was also defeat for Park home and away to St Albans in the first of their Friday night SADBA triples league matches
