Sophia Fullbrook is back in the England Golf national squad for the 2025 season.
The 18-year-old, affiliated to Melbourne GC at Brocket Hall but now playing out of Florida State University, is part of a nine strong team.
She was in the 2024 squad and keeps her place alongside Lottie Woad, Patience Rhodes, Isla McDonald-O’Brien, Sophia Fullbrook and Nellie Ong.
Among her 2024 palmares are top-10 finishes at the European Nations Cup and the 2024 English U25 Championship, as well as 16th-place in the Portuguese Amateur.
Fullbrook, who used to play at both Redbourn and Harpenden Common before moving to Brocket, has also represented England in the biennial match against Spain, the European Team Championship, the 2023 World Junior Girls Championship and was part of the England squad that won the 2023 home internationals.
Becca Hembrough, women's performance manager for England Golf, said: "This has been a great year for our women and girls, with a gold in the European Girls’ Team Championship and a bronze in the Women’s Team Championship, while both England Women and Girls won at their respective Home Internationals.
“Furthermore, with three of our women have gone on to become professionals and it is a testament to the great work that the England Golf coaching team and support does in helping these young players go as far as they can in the amateur game, before going on to realise their dreams in professional golf."
Welwyn Garden City's Harry Cox meanwhile clinched a top-10 finish in the Spanish Boys' Amateur Championship.
Held at Pula Golf Resort, Mallorca, Cox was one-under par for the three-round competition, tied for 10th behind winner and England Golf team-mate Ben Bolton on six-under.
Another England man, Oscar Lent of Walton Heath in Surrey, was tied for sixth at two-under.
England men's deputy performance director Stephen Burnett said: "I'm really pleased with the whole group, they’ve all acquitted themselves really well - not just the standard of golf, they’ve been a great bunch to work with all week."
