Foodies had the chance to sample world cuisine at an annual festival in Welwyn Garden City.
Thousands flocked to Welwyn Garden City to enjoy this year’s World Food Festival, organised by Oaklands College and the Welwyn Garden City Town Centre Partnership.
Visitors sampled food from all over the world, including churros from Spain, curries from India, pizza from Italy and exotic meats from Australia.
Staff and students from Oaklands College’s hospitality and catering department also gave live cooking demonstrations throughout the day, giving budding chefs tips and advice for cooking up a storm in their own kitchens.
Live entertainment with an international feel took place on the main stage during the day, including belly dancing, African drumming, Argentine tango, traditional Polish singing and performances from the College’s Music & Performing Arts students.
Oaklands College principal Zoe Hancock said: “We were thrilled with the turnout for this year’s festival and it was fantastic to see the huge variety of fantastic food we have right here in Hertfordshire.
“The festival is a great chance for people to try something new and get some inspiration to take home.”
